Biography: Shari Petti is a Trinidadian film director, cinematographer, and educator whose work delves into Caribbean identity, culture, and history. A Fulbright Scholar with an MFA in Cinematography from Florida State University, she creates documentaries, narrative films, and experimental works. Her acclaimed docuseries Mas Prep and short film Sorf Hair have screened internationally, earning awards and recognition. Her 2023 short Fantastic Friday has been featured at major film festivals. Shari also teaches at UWI St. Augustine and is founder of Scene Productions Limited. With seven Addy Awards to her name, she continues to shape Caribbean cinema through storytelling, mentorship, and innovation.
