Nathan Adabadze is a Senior Investment Manager at Media Finance Capital, where he leads the investment team and manages a diverse, multi-million-pound portfolio of film and television investments. Since joining the company in 2018, he has sourced, structured, and closed deals across a wide range of budgets ($1M–$50M), working with partners across North America, the UK, Europe, and Australia. His credits include the critically acclaimed documentary Tina and Maggie Gyllenhaal’s directorial debut, The Lost Daughter, starring Olivia Colman.
With over 30 credits to date, Nathan is recognised for his sharp commercial instincts and deep understanding of international co-production models, distribution landscapes, and creative financing. He brings a strategic yet collaborative approach to dealmaking, with a particular interest in supporting bold, global storytelling from underrepresented voices.
Nathan is committed to industry leadership and ongoing professional development. In 2024, he participated in the prestigious Inside Pictures business training and development programme, geared towards enhancing participants’ leadership capacities to shape the future of the global entertainment landscape. In 2023, he completed Film London’s Breaking the Glass Ceiling, a leadership scheme designed to elevate mid-level executives into senior roles across the screen industries.
Alongside his financing work, Nathan is a passionate filmmaker. His short film Alpha & Omega premiered at the Tri-Force Film Festival at BFI Southbank (2019) and was an official selection at LA’s Pan African Film Festival (2020). He continues to champion inclusive, cross-border collaboration in both his creative and professional endeavours.
