Kerwyn Valley is the Group Managing Director of Aspire Fund Management Company Limited and CEO of KCL Capital Market Brokers Limited. He also serves on the company’s Board of Directors. He holds an MBA in Finance and International Business from York University’s Schulich School of Business.
He began his financial career in Canada, including ten years with the Royal Bank of Canada. As Vice President of Business Development at a U.S. trade finance firm, he led a strategic alliance that generated over CAD $30 million in new business within six months.
In 2004, Mr. Valley joined AIC Financial Group in Trinidad and Tobago to develop its regional Trade Finance Division. He became CEO of AIC Finance Limited in 2008 and of AIC Capital Market Brokers in 2010. In 2011, he led a successful management buyout and rebranded the company as KCL Capital.
With over 26 years in financial services, he has managed portfolios across retail, commercial, corporate, and public sectors. He has received several awards for excellence in business development and leadership, including RBC’s Royal Performance Award.
Mr. Valley is the founder of Aspire Funds Management Company Limited, a private equity firm focused on growth-stage investments in the Caribbean and the founding Chairman of the Kenneth Cyril Valley Foundation, a charity supporting youth education, empowerment, and entrepreneurship in Trinidad & Tobago.
