Emily Kulasa has over fifteen years of wide-ranging production experience in the film, television and digital media industries. She has worked with Elevation Pictures since 2018, spearheading and and overseeing projects from development, through production to delivery. She has managed over CAD$100M in production financing and structured international treaty co-productions with many countries including Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Hungary and Croatia. Past projects include Azazel Jacobs’ French Exit, which received a 2020 Golden Globe nomination for Michelle Pfeiffer’s performance and The Nest (Dir. Sean Durkin) which had its premiere at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival and was released by IFC Films. In 2022, Emily produced FreeUp! What Does Freedom Mean to You?, a variety show with Ngozi Paul for the CBC celebrating black Emancipation Day in Canada. She was also an Associate Producer on The Artists: The Pioneers Behind the Pixels, a 10-part digital series exploring the history of early video game development, commissioned by CBC and Topic and produced by First Generation Media. Executive Producer credits include American Woman (Dir. Semi Chellas, 2019), Infinity Pool (Dir. Brandon Cronenberg, 2022) and Babe Nation’s Bonjour Tristesse (Dir. Durga Chew-Bose, 2024). She is currently producing a UK-Canada co-production alongside Infinity Hill called Sons, written by Sarah Polley, directed by Pablo Trapero and starring Bill Nighy, set for release later this year. Emily sits on both the International and Member Development & Services Committees
of the Canadian Media Producers Association, and is currently serving as an external expert for Eurimages.
