Biography: Andrew Burrows-Trotman (ABT) is a Toronto-based screenwriter with a Double Honours degree in English and History from the University of Toronto and an MFA in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute. His feature screenplay If We Left, based on the Valley Manor Retirement Home scandal, was shortlisted for the San Francisco Film Society’s Hearst Grant. ABT has written for acclaimed series including Frankie Drake Mysteries, Diggstown, Utopia Falls, Spellbound, and The Porter. He also served as Co-Showrunner for The Borough, a drama developed with CBC and Boatrocker Studios. His work explores history, justice, and underrepresented voices.
