Adrian Wallace is a Jamaican-Canadian, award-winning filmmaker named a 2022 Playback Top 10 to Watch. He won a 2021 Canadian Screen Award for Best Direction in a Docuseries for BLACK SUN – his acclaimed short doc on victimized women confronting gun violence,
which premiered on CBC Television and streamed on CBC Gem’s BEING BLACK IN TORONTO.

He triple-auteured the global award-winning web series COURTSIDE, and wrote and co-produced the indie award-winning feature BECAUSE WE ARE (Tubi). Other honours include the short comedy NO JAMES HARDEN (Revolt TV) and dramedy LLEYTON – which swept the 2025 Canadian Black Screen Awards.

Adrian is a multi-postgraduate creative with formal training in dramatic arts, comedy writing, acting, and film and television production. His featured work includes additional platforms such as FoxTV, CBS, MTV, CityTV, APTN, HGTV, and Prime Video – which often portray BIPOC experiences, and explore millennial relationships across multi-formats.

An alum of film development programs such as TIFF Filmmaker Lab, Amplifia x Ontario Creates IDM Futures Forward, Warner Bros. Discovery x CANFRO Diverse Showrunner Bootcamp with Anthony Q. Farrell, OYA Filmmakers and Reelworld, Adrian is developing a slate of projects from a pair of original comedy series, to his directorial debut dramatic feature film.
